The rights of 1,000's of displaced refugee children have been narrowed limiting their ability. Neglected, putting them in grave danger. Violated, being used for pleaser and profit. Sick and left to die.

The Thai / Burma border area is in deep decline in people and community capacity.

It has one of the worlds  lowest levels of public sector expenditure. Investment in basic building blocks of human development - health and education is estimated at less than $1 per person each year for the last 63 years. This prolonged lack of investment has severely degraded health and education outcomes. UN estimate 70,000 children and 2,400 pregnant women are dying from easily preventable illness and disease annually. 

One in 12 children die before the age of five years. Thousand’s more poor, vulnerable children are trafficked in well established human trafficking routs. Boys are hunted for rebel armies - child soldiers and girls are more valuable than heroin, hunted, captured and sold 16 times a day, as child sex slaves. High rates of HIV/AIDs, Malaria, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B continue to take a major toll. 90% of children last tested had Hepatitis B.

Violent Government and rebel armies cause huge areas of lawlessness. Trapped and enslaved in these areas are communities with the least significance, living in deep poverty, with overwhelming health problems.

The Least; Children that are the very lowest on the social and economic scale have also been given the lowest status in the world, with no legal right to live in the world, everything they do is illegal. Children struggling to survive the everyday health and poverty issues. And piled on top of that, face danger, trauma, abuse, exploitation and pain so sever that it causes psychosis, a mental state that is trying to escape the struggle and reality of life. A brain that shuts down with glassed eyes that do not see. A human spirit with no hope.

UN estimate that there are 380,000 stateless children in Thailand without education and facing grave danger. In Burma there could be over 1,000,000 children exposed to the danger of sex slavery.
